Weekend Round-Up: Goals galore on the Hill

18 Nov 2025

A goals-laden weekend for the OHAFC, with both the 1st and 3rd XIs in action on the Hill, the 1s securing a creditable 4-4 draw, the 3s finding themselves on the wrong end of a quite magnificent individual performance.

The 1st XI got off to a dreadful start at home to the Old Kimboltonians, conceding twice inside the opening ten minutes, but goals from the Bick brothers, Charlie and Harry, drew the sides level. The visitors took advantage of a defensive error to retake the lead prior to the break, but a minute into the second half the Blues were level once more, skipper Dan Firoozan scoring his first goal of the season. Disappointingly, another stray pass across the back gifted the visitors a fourth with twenty minutes remaining but, for the third time in the match, the OHAFC restored parity, Jamie Jordache ghosting in at the far post to apply the finish to a corner.

The 1st XI remain seventh in Division One ahead of next week’s visit from the Old Wykehamists.

Meanwhile, the OHAFC 3rd XI were put to the sword by an Old Epsomian side who played the entire game with just ten men. Unfortunately, the lack of a player proved of no help to the OHAFC 3s. who were destroyed by Rep team midfielder Callum Holland – a former Chelsea youth team midfielder, who played up front here and ran the show, scoring five superb goals and even taking over in goal for fifteen minutes in the second half.

The 3s stayed in the game manfully up to half-time, Matt Ede’s goal reducing the arrears to 3-1. But the second half saw the Epsomians run riot and a second goal from Ede late on proved the barest of consolations, Epsom ending deserved 7-2 winners.

The 3s remain bottom of Division Four with a trip away to the Shirburnians to follow next weekend.

Team sheets and match reports from both games are now available in the results section.
