Weekend Round-Up: 3s edge closer to the drop
Both the OHAFC 2s and 3s suffered defeat this weekend, the 3s now on the verge of being relegated to Division Five.
Although it was a far closer affair than the first meeting between the sides, the 3s still came off second best away to the Old Epsomians on the astro at King's House. The visitors actually scored two superb first-half goals courtesy of skipper Felix Tritton and veteran David Lederman, the former volleying in from thirty yards out, the latter chipping the keeper from the edge of the box. But the hosts, despite again playing the whole game with just ten men, hit back with a couple of goals from long throws and sealed the win following some defensive hesitancy at the back.
The 3s will now need to win at least win of their final two League fixtures to have any chance of staying in Division Four next season.
Meanwhile, the OHAFC 2s made the long journey south to face Division Three leaders the Old Sennockians in Kent. A rather ill-tempered game on a heavy pitch produced little in the way of flowing football, the hosts eventually sealing a 4-2 win. Skipper Tristan David scored both Harrovian efforts, the second from the penalty spot, but the Sennockians continued their impressive run of form with decisive goals in the closing stages from a corner and then on the break.
Team sheets and match reports from both games are now available in the results section.
