Weekend Round-Up: Red card costs 1s again
For the second consecutive fixture, the OHAFC 1st XI were undone by an unfortunate red card that meant playing over an hour of the game at Eton with ten men.
Cyprian Owen Edmunds was shown his marching orders in very unlucky circumstances, a goalbound shot deflecting off his thigh onto his arm and preventing it from crossing the line. The subsequent red came barely twenty minutes into the game with the score at 1-1. Seventy-five minutes later it was 7-3 to Eton, who ran away with things in the second half, despite two excellent Harrow goals from substitute Arthur Leney.
The 3s fared little better on the Hill, suffering a second six-goal mauling from the unbeaten Old Ardinians in Division Four. Despite starting the match in decent shape, the visitors took advantage of a generous penalty decision to take the lead and proved far too strong as the game wore on.
The 3s must now look to their final two League games of the season, both against Lancing 2s, to ensure they earn enough points to avoid the dreaded 'R' word.
Team sheets and match reports from both games are now available in the results section.
