Weekend Round-Up: Red card consigns 1s to harsh defeat
An unfortunate second yellow card for Dan Firoozan an hour into the away game at Tonbridge sadly proved costly for the OHAFC 1s, as their excellent first half performance, including a debut goal for John Koutalides, eventually counted for nothing.
The hosts took advantage of the numerical superiority to score twice in the final quarter of an hour, denying the Blues what had appeared for the majority of the game a deserved victory and three invaluable points.
There was better news from the Hill, however, as the OHAFC 2s comfortably saw off the challenge of the Old Stoics in the first round of the Junior League Cup. Max Curry and Miles Kellock scored twice each, with Will Payne adding the fifth. The 2s must wait to see who they will face in round two once the season resumes following the Christmas break.
Both team sheets and match reports from the final OHAFC fixtures of 2021 are now available in the results section. Football returns on January 8th 2022, with the 1s in action away to the Old Bradfieldians in Gunnersbury Park.
