Weekend Round-Up: All three sides impress
All three OHAFC sides impressed on a strong weekend for the club.
The 1st XI eased to a 3-0 win at home to the Old Radleians on a misty Harrow Hill. Will Payne scored twice to give the hosts a half-time lead, with George Taylor grabbing the third. As a result, the Blues move to within three points of their opponents who sit third in the Division One table.
On the adjacent Phil pitch, the 2s produced a solid display against Division Three leaders the Old Merchant Taylors to earn a 1-1 draw. In a game of few chances, Alexi Pittalis headed home just before half-time to give the hosts the lead. But immediately after the interval Taylors equalised from a set-piece and although the hosts enjoyed the better of things from that point on, the visitors held on and both sides had to settle for a point.
But the OHAFC 3s did manage to make their pressure tell as they finally broke down a stubborn Old Wellingtonians side to win 1-0 on the astroturf in Southwark. Alfie Hayes controlled Ali Buckley's cross to score with ten minutes remaining and earn the visitors all three points.
Team sheets from all three games are now available in the results section, as well as reports from the 2s and 3s games. The 1s match report is due in shortly.
