Weekend Round-Up: All three sides earn wins
All three OHAFC teams turned around their fortunes this weekend, recording hugely impressive victories.
The 1st XI travelled to Hampton to face the high-flying Old Johnians and came away with a remarkable 5-4 win in a topsy-turvy encounter that saw the visitors lead three times in the match before being pegged back by their hosts. But skipper Dan Firoozan turned in a captain’s display, tucking home a penalty before sealing the win with four minutes remaining via a direct free-kick. Harrow’s other scorers were Fabian Dobree, his first for the club, Ciaran Jordan and Ollie Atkinson.
The 2nd XI produced their best display of the season to defeat the Old Malvernians 5-3 on the Hill. The hosts fell behind midway through the first half but recovered to lead at the break courtesy of superb goals from David Lederman and Miles Kellock. Kellock doubled the lead in the opening minute of the second half but the final twenty minutes saw the Malvernians fight back twice, the Blues holding onto win courtesy of two goals from striker Pedro Azagra.
Meanwhile, the 3rd XI were involved in a remarkable game against the Old Wellingtonians on the adjacent pitch, with both sides fielding outfield players in goal. Toby Colehan donned the gloves for the Blues and conceded four goals. But the home side were rampant scoring five times in the first half against a stunned Wellingtonians side. The 3s added three more after the break to emerge with an 8-4 win, with hat-tricks for Alvin Adefarasin and Adam Graham and a brace for Freddie Everett.
