Weekend Round-Up: 2s miss out on huge win
On a busy weekend for the OHAFC, the most positive performance came from the 2nd XI, who recorded a highly encouraging 3-3 draw away to the Old Johnians in southwest London. Despite the industrious display against a side that had beaten them 5-0 last season, the Blues left feeling shattered, both physically and emotionally, having thrown away a 3-1 lead with ten minutes remaining. A breakaway goal as the game entered stoppage time broke Harrow hearts and denied the 2s a famous win. Earlier, two goals from Jack Dolbey and another from Alexi Pittalis had earned the visitors a 3-1 lead.
The 3rd XI suffered a surprise exit from the Junior League Cup at the hands of Division Five South team Old Westminster 2s (pictured). Despite scoring twice through Ali Buckley and Adam Graham either side of half-time, the hosts conceded late on to gift their opponents the win and a trip to the Old Sennockians in round two.
Meanwhile, the 1st XI competed strongly for 70 minutes away to the Old Foresters but suffered a late capitulation, ending the game well beaten and on the wrong end of a miserable 7-0 scoreline. The 1s remain pointless at the foot of the Premier Division table.
Team sheets and match reports for all three games are now available in the results section.
