Weekend Round-Up: 2s dumped out of JLC
It was a rather miserable weekend for the club with both the 1s and 2s losing.
The 1st XI took an early lead at home to the Old Tonbridgians on the Harrow astroturf, Dan Firoozan converting a penalty after he'd been felled inside the box.
But the visitors gradually cranked up the pressure and although the home side held on until the break, two goals inside five minutes at the start of the second half sealed the points. The 1s now find themselves on the brink of relegation to Division One.
Following on from that game, the OHAFC 2s took on Brentwoods 2s in the quarter-finals of the Junior League Cup. It proved to be a miserable experience, with the tie decided in a chastening opening half-hour. Brentwoods scored four in a whirlwind start, the hosts rarely getting out of first gear.
Despite having a player and supporter sent off ten minutes prior to the break following a melee inside the Brentwoods half, the Blues could not find a way through until late on, Max Curry scoring with a long range effort the keeper should have dealt with.
Both team sheets and match reports are now available in the results section.
