Weekend Round-Up: 2s & 3s record big wins
There were big wins for both the OHAFC 2s and 3s this weekend, helping both teams' respective League positions considerably.
The OHAFC 2s beat the Old Carthusians 2s 4-2 on the Harrow School astro courtesy of a hat-trick from Doug Pratt - the former defender was thrust into a striker role and he adapted superbly, giving the hosts an early lead and then scoring twice in a minute early in the second half when the visitors had temporarily been reduced to ten men following a sin bin. Tristan David scored the fourth and the 2s now move up to third in Division Three ahead of next weekend's visit of leaders the Old Merchant Taylors.
The OHAFC 3rd XI enjoyed an even more comprehensive win in Division Four, eventually overcoming stubborn resistance from bottom side the Old Kingstonians to earn a 6-2 win on the banks of the Thames by Hampton Court. The sides were level at the break at 1-1, Will Payne converting Alfie Hayes' pass. Payne gave Harrow the lead early in the second half but it wasn't until late in the game that the visitors began to pull away, the winger completing his hat-trick, Luke Berry converting from the spot, Dan Graham scoring on his first appearance of the season and left-back Alex Kenderdine-Davies saving the best for last with a superb curled effort from 30 yards out.
Team sheets and match reports from both games are now available in the results section.
