Weekend Round-Up: 1s suffer controversial loss
A controversial Etonian goal midway through the second half condemned the OHAFC 1s to a 2-1 defeat that almost certainly ends any hope the side had of avoiding relegation into Division One come the end of the season.
Harry Bick had given the hosts the lead from the spot before the Etonians equalised shortly afterwards. But the Eton winner with twenty minutes remaining was allowed to stand despite vociferous protests for offside from the home side. Referee Adam Knight, one of the best in the Arthurian League, listened to the home side's pleas, but allowed the goal to stand and the visitors held on to claim the points.
There was better news from Phil 2 however, where the OHAFC 2s continued their excellent recent run of form with a 1-0 win over the Old Sennockians. A rather turgid game was settled by a Will Payne goal after just twenty minutes, the Blues holding their lead fairly comfortably in very windy conditions.
Team sheets and match reports from both fixtures are now available in the results section.
