Weekend Round-Up: 1s & 2s score four and win
The OHAFC 1st and 2nd XIs both scored four goals in recording excellent wins on Saturday, whilst the 3s battled hard to earn a point on a successful weekend for the OHAFC.
The 1s recorded their first win in five League games when they beat the Old Rugbeians 4-3 on a sunny Harrow Hill. The visitors scored the only goal of the first half but the hosts dominated after the break, racing into a 4-1 lead courtesy of goals from Stan d'Angelin, Ed Nicholson, Jamie Jordache and Oli Acar. Despite a late rally from the Rugbeians that saw them score twice in three minutes, the hosts held on for three valuable points.
There was no such tension for the OHAFC 2s as they pretty much strolled to victory over the Old Sennockians in a fixture switched from Sevenoaks School to an astroturf in Feltham late on Friday night. It was the visitors who coped much better with the change in conditions, dominating for long spells and earning a 4-1 win courtesy of two goals from the excellent Owain James, with one apiece for Tristan David and skipper Geoff Taunton-Collins. Sennockians scored a bare consolation with the final act of the game.
Back on the Hill, the OHAFC 3rd XI ended a run of three straight defeats with a hard-earned 2-2 draw with the Old Berkhamstedians 2s. Alex Kenderdine-Davies scored his first for the club, Ali Buckley grabbed the second but the 3s had to settle for a point as the visitors levelled ten minutes from time.
