OHAFC present Bank of England with plaque

14 Dec 2016

OHAFC Veterans skipper John Wyn-Evans made a commemorative presentation to the Bank of England Ground on Sunday morning in recognition of 25 years of the club playing their Sunday morning football in south west London.

John presented Ian Wall, representing the hosts, with a plaque containing the Harrow School crest and the dates of the twenty-five years the club have played at Roehampton.

The Harrow captain thanked Ian for the Bank of England's hospitality and the generally excellent state of the pitches available - a real benefit on Sunday mornings.

Ian then replied thanking the OHAFC for their support and promising he would pass on the thanks for the pitches to the ground staff who work so hard ensuring the pitches are maintained in great condition.

Both the current OHAFC President Andy Butler and former President Fred Woolley were also present for the ceremony, Andy having just played in goal in the OHAFC's 3-1 win over the Bank of England.

The Vets have now finished their programme of matches for 2016 but will return to action in the new year.
