Vets League fixture with Tonbridge postponed
28 Jan 2019
The OHAFC Veterans' bid to play three fixtures on consecutive weekends fell foul of the weather on Sunday morning when the Bank of England cancelled all games due to be played following the downpours on Saturday night.
The Old Tonbridgians were due to provide the opposition in the first scheduled OHAFC fixture in the new Veterans League. Instead, Lancing Veterans will now earn that honour, weather permitting, when they visit Roehampton in a fortnight's time.
The OHAFC Vets were eliminated from the Derrick Moore Cup a fortnight ago following an extra-time defeat at the hands of the holders, the Old Malvernians. Several Veterans League and friendly fixtures are scheduled for the remainder of the season.
