Schoolboy trio make OHAFC debuts for 1st XI
School 1st XI captain Daniel Firoozan and fellow schoolboys Miles Kellock and Mo Shah made their OHAFC debuts on Saturday in the 1st XI's 3-1 defeat to Charterhouse and in the process set a new record - it was the first time in living memory that three schoolboys had all made their OHAFC debuts in the same game for the club.
The youngsters all performed creditably in one of the most difficult fixtures in the calendar and Saturday's game was to prove particularly trying with disrupted preparations and the serious knee injury suffered by goalkeeper Charlie Walsh all contributing to the task of taking on the League champions on their home ground.
The inclusion of the three schoolboys saw the OHAFC line up with their youngest team for many years: despite the inclusion of veterans David Lederman (39) and Harry Hoffen (35) the average age of the 12 who travelled was only 26.
The performance of the three schoolboys was all the more impressive given that two of them had played in the Cock House Cup final the day before the Charterhouse game.
