Relegation looms for 1st XI following KCS loss

8 Mar 2015

The relegation trapdoor opened wide beneath the feet of the OHAFC 1st XI on Saturday following a narrow 1-0 defeat to Kings Wimbledon in the side's first game for a month.

The hosts enjoyed the better of the first half and should have gone into the break with a healthy lead. Instead chances were spurned and after the break the visitors took advantage of the conditions to pen Harrow back in their half.

The only goal of the game came twenty minutes from time from a Harrow throw-in. Possession was lost and Kings took advantage of the hole created by Fred Milln taking the throw to create a simple chance.

Defeat leaves the 1's rooted to the foot of the table with four games remaining. Realistically, Ed Poulter's men need to win at least two of them to stay up, although even that might not be sufficient.

Mission Improbable starts at Eton next week.
