Promo poster for first tour match released!

30 Mar 2015

The opponents for the Club's first tour match of Easter 2015, Club Atletico Yunquera, have today started the pre-match build-up with the release of the promotional poster they have designed and distributed around Marbella asking for support.

The opening tour match takes place on Saturday evening at 5.30pm local time, an hour ahead of BST, at the Partida Planos ground in Malaga. The ground bears the nickname 'Los Arbolitos' or 'Little Trees' or even, possibly, 'The Saplings' - something that may or may not be confirmed nearer the time, either by viewing the surrounding flora or by asking a local supporter who is fluent enough to know the difference. Either way, there are sure to be some small trees in the vicinity and suitable precautions should be taken for playing or watching.

A quick glance at the league table for the Segunda Division of the Andaluza League - Malaga Division - shows that Yunquera are having a disappointing campaign to date, currently lying in thirteenth in the eighteen team division and just six points above the relegation places.

The locals have the Easter weekend off from League action, returning to the fray with a mid-table clash against Atletico de Marbella on April 12th.

It would appear that both clubs need the friendly to build up some confidence ahead their vital League run-ins, the OHAFC 1st XI needing two wins from their final two League games, plus a minor miracle to stay in the Arthurian League Premier Division for another season.

Team news plus further build-up to Saturday's friendly encounter will follow throughout the week, with the official announcement of the touring party set for Wednesday afternoon.
