On this weekend...
Continuing our look back through the OHAFC archives at games played on this weekend last season, three seasons ago and five seasons ago...
Last Season: November 17th 2012
- 1st XI: Beat Kings Wimbledon 3-0 away, Lederman opening the scoring on the half hour from the penalty spot after Luke de Rougemont had been fouled. Johan Harder scored twice in the second half to confirm the victory and cap a fine individual performance.
- 2nd XI: Lost 2-1 away to Brentwood 2's in an extremely ill-tempered game that saw three red cards dished out late on. Harrow fell behind early on but levelled through Hugo Trower. The home side went ahead in the second half but the real drama was to follow when a Joe Bone tackle led to all hell breaking loose: Bone was dismissed as well as two of the Brentwood players and the ill-feeling continued into the days following the match.
- 3rd XI: No fixture
Three Seasons Ago: November 19th 2011
1st XI: Drew 4-4 at Old Cholmelians in one of the most dramatic matches in OHAFC history. The 1st XI dominated the game for long spells and opened the scoring from a Quentin Baker header. The home side equalised straight from the kick-off and, courtesy of mistakes from Will Orr-Ewing and David Lederman, found themselves in an undeserved 3-1 lead at the break.
Another Baker header brought the visitors back into the game but with twenty minutes remaining the hosts scored again to restore their two-goal advantage. Harrow pressed on and were rewarded for their persistence in the closing moments: Lederman converted an 89th minute penalty after a harsh handball decision went against a Cholms defender and in a frantic finale helped create the equaliser, his free-kick headed across goal by de Rougemont for Richardson to nod home at the second attempt. The full-time whistle blew straight after signalling a remarkable 4-4 draw.
2nd & 3rd XI's No fixture
Five Seasons Ago: November 14th 2009
- 1st XI: Won 3-0 at Old Westminsters in an assured team display. Lederman opened the scoring early on with his third successful penalty conversion, Baker added a second shortly before the break. Harry Hoffen scored an excellent third midway through the second half to complete the comfortable win.
- 2nd XI: Suffered an 8-2 mauling at the hands of Charterhouse 3's in Godalming in windy conditions. Soyinka scored an excellent goal after twenty-five minutes to give the visitors hope, but it was all in vain as a powerful Charterhouse team scored with practically every effort on goal. Harry Gibson scored a last-minute consolation for the visitors.
- 3rd XI: No fixture
