OHAFC forced to settle for El Clasico draw

7 Nov 2016

Despite producing another encouraging performance, the OHAFC 1st XI were once again kept waiting for their first win of the 2016/17 season as they were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw against Old Enemy Eton on Saturday afternoon.

Ed Poulter's men were the better side for much of the game at Eton College but after a goalless first half they fell behind in controversial circumstances when the referee ignored a linesman's flag for a foul right in front of him and Eton broke up the other end to score.

When the hosts went 2-0 up inside the last half-hour things looked bleak for the visitors but they fought back superbly, pulling a goal back from the spot through James Breeden before Doug Morrison smashed home a volley with ten minutes remaining to seal a deserved draw.
