OHAFC Fantasy League Update: Dec 2016
Half the season gone, half the season still to go and the OHAFC Fantasy League table is shaping up just as nicely as the real Premier League with 100 points exactly separating the top seven in the standings.
Conti von Hirsch is still leading the way with his 'Uncle Conti's Champs' on a highly respectable 1,121 points from 20 Gameweeks. To give Conti's score some context, he lies around the 22,000 mark out of a total of over 4.3 million players in the game. Conti's squad contains a few interesting choices currently with the West Brom pair Macauley and Phillips augmenting the common selections of ALexis Sanchez, Ibrahimovic and Raheem Sterling. Unsurprisingly, Conti is also using three defenders from Spurs and Chelsea given both sides' excellent defensive records.
Hot on Uncle Conti's coat tails is Hamnet Quinn, about whom not much is known. He has never played a game for the Club, has never been seen on a Saturday night out and has a very odd name. It is hoped he either makes himself known to the Club before the end of the season, or else drops significantly down the table, ensuring no further research on him is required by the overworked OHAFC archives department.
Leaving that unpleasantness aside, positions three to seven in the table are all taken up by OHAFC stalwarts: former JLC-winning captain Arjun Chopra lies in third ('Matip for the top') on 1048 points, Alex 'The Schlong from Hong Kong' Smith ('No.1') is fourth with 1033 points, 3s regular Chris Thorn ('Explorus FC') is two points further back with Jack Orr-Ewing and Charlie Hicks completing the group.
At the other end of the table, sometime 2s player Ed Massey is struggling. His 'It's Sanogo' performing about as well as, well, Yaya Sanogo, a paltry score of 791 points ensuring Ed is propping everyone else up.
Still, there is a long way still to go, with a new Wildcard chip available (unlimited free transfers for one week) and the prospect of several weeks of postponed fixtures leading to bumper points potential ('BPP').
Below are the current top ten standings in the OHAFC Table:
