OHAFC Fantasy League: January update
A quick update from the OHAFC Fantasy League competition.
At the turn of the year long-time leader Ludo Callander enjoyed a 20-point advantage over Theo Gordon in second, with Ollie Bunting six points further back and the top five completed by David Lederman and Alec Fogarty.
Fewer than 100 points separated the top nine in the 27-strong OHAFC League.
Fast forward a month to the end of January and the gaps at the top of the table have started to grow a little, with Ludo now 32 points clear of Theo Gordon in second, Alec Fogarty rising into third ahead of Bunting and Lederman.
The month actually produced some rather surprising scoring, with the bottom three in the overall table all featuring in the top four for points earned in Janaury: Freddie Brunt (25th overall) was second top scorer with 214 points, Sandip Patel (26th) was third top with 206 and Manhad Narula (27th) fourth with 194.
Leader Ludo Callander claimed the sixth most points in the month (191), as did fellow high-flyers Conti von Hirsch and Alec Fogarty. Theo Gordon lost some ground on Callander, claiming 179 points, but the big losers in the month were Ollie Bunting and David Lederman: Bunting managed just 154 points, 21st most out of 27, but even he did better than Lederman, who somehow managed just 134 points in January - worst of all 27 players.
Kudos to Ed Page, whose 'Ibe damned' side claimed 220 points to take the monthly award. Ed's team sat in 13th at the end of the month, 153 points off the top.
Fourteen gameweeks remain - plenty of time for dramatic change in the table...can anyone stop the runaway Ludo-train at the top though?
