OHAFC Fantasy League: December update

4 Jan 2016

Despite the busy festive programme of fixtures, there was little movement in the upper echelons of the OHAFC Fantasy League table, with five of the top six at the end of November also featuring in the top six heaviest scorers in December.

Ludo Callander continues his seemingly unstoppable vigil at the top of the table with his lead as we enter 2016 now sitting at 20 points, up from 13 a month earlier. His nearest challenger is now Theo Gordon, who top scored in December with an impressive 384 points and moves up from fourth to second with a total of 1,135.

His rise sees both Ollie Bunting and David Lederman slip a place in the table despite both scoring well over the past month: Bunting sits third on 1,129 points with Lederman fourth on 1,116.

The biggest mover in the month was 1st XI skipper Ed Poulter, who rises from 12th to 7th with a total of 349 in December, the fourth biggest total from the 25 players.

Conversely, 3's skipper Harry Turner was the month's biggest loser, falling from 5th to 9th with 319 points.

At the wrong end of the table, former 1's goalkeeper Luke Raffety climbs out of the bottom three with a decent monthly total of 316 leaving Messrs Brunt, Patel and Narula in the relegation zone. Manhad Narula registered a putrid total of 141 in December suggesting he has either abandoned his team mid-season or has no clue how the game works. Or possibly both.

Either way, he's in last place and unlikely to feature in the fight for the title.

For everyone else there is still much to play for with the availability once more of a 'Wildcard' - the ability to overhaul your playing squad without penalty once in the second half of the season. This, along with the trio of gamechips still available to the majority of players, means that the fight for the title still has a long way to run.

Can anyone knock Ludo off his perch?
