Makeshift 2s hammered in Old Boys Cup
The OHAFC 2nd XI suffered their heaviest defeat in over a decade as they were dumped out of the Old Boys Cup by a rampant Old Owens 2s in Potters Bar on Saturday. Despite taking an early lead, the Blues suffered at the hands of a strong Owens side who scored four times before the break and ran riot in the second half, eventually racking up double figures in the closing stages.
The visitors were not helped in their efforts by an injury to debutant Nick Allen that left them playing most of the second half with ten fit players. The defeat leaves the 2s still searching for a first win of the season, with their first home fixture of the season against the Old Johnians due up next.
