Injury Update: Milln & Trower set for lengthy absences
The OHAFC 1st XI has received some very sad news in the past fortnight with the confirmation that two key players from the squad will be unavailable for lengthy spells.
Defender Fred Milln has a confirmed chipped bone in his left ankle, a problem that has been troubling him for some time. The 29 year-old centre-half, currently on crutches, has to leave the swelling in the joint to reduce over the next few weeks before it can be operated on.
A similar fate awaits midfielder Hugo Trower, who suffered a very serious knee injury in training ten days ago following an accidental collision with 2nd XI skipper Jack Orr-Ewing.
Hugo has had it confirmed that he has torn both his MCL and ACL and will also have to let the joint settle before it can be operated on.
Both players will then face lengthy spells of rehabilitation before they are able to return to action, in Hugo's case this may not be until next season.
All at the OHAFC wish both players a speedy recovery and hope to see them back in action when they are fully fit.
