Harry Woolley awarded 2015 Charles Clover Brown

23 Mar 2015

Harry Woolley was presented with the Charles Clover Brown salver at the biennial dinner at the Hurlingham Club on February 27th in honour of his sterling service to the Club.

Harry made his debut for the OHAFC whilst still a schoolboy in 2001 and earned a reputation as a tricky winger for the 2nd XI, replete with a unique stepover repertoire that fooled opponents and teammates alike.

After his playing career was interrupted by a broken leg in early 2010, he returned to action and found a new role as an attacking full-back.

He was appointed 2nd XI vice-captain under Arjun Chopra and the pair helped deliver sustained success for the side, with two Junior League Cup wins, a third final and a promotion.

Off the field Harry has held the position of Fixture Secretary and is now the current Club Secretary. He was also a founder of the Club website and continues to work tirelessly ensuring it remains one of the finest amateur club websites on the internet.

Harry has enjoyed an excellent attendance record on tour - this year will see him notch up his eighth trip - and a regular place near the top of the weird list with his overly-aggressive dance moves and odd nocturnal habits.

He continues to contribute hugely to the Club and will this weekend become the first member of the OHAFC to represent the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Veteran XI's this season - a rare achievement indeed.

Harry was presented with his award by 1st XI skipper Ed Poulter and is the first recipient for two years - last year the award was not handed out.
