Harry Hoffen targeting March comeback
OHAFC 1st XI striker Harry Hoffen is targeting a comeback by the end of March following a period of rehabilitation on his injured knee.
The thirty-seven year-old, the 1st XI's leading goalscorer over the past decade and a half, last played on December 7th in the dispiriting 5-1 home defeat to the Old Salopians but clearly struggled in the first half and was withdrawn at the break.
A visit to a specialist has revealed a Grade 2 MCL tear and a period of intense physiotherapy and aquatherapy now follows as Harry bids to play again before the end of the season.
His cause is not helped by the fixture list, with the 1st XI due to play five of their remaining six games in the coming month, with only the home game against Lancing scheduled for April.
His prime target however could be to return in time for the Veterans Cup final, with John Wyn-Evans' side due to face Forest in the semi-finals in the next few weeks.
Despite his lack of action, Harry remains the 1st XI's leading scorer this season with seven goals, emphasising his continued importance to the side. To date, Harrow have scored an average of just over two goals per game which, whilst sounding impressive, actually leaves them on course to record one of their lowest tallies in many seasons.
