Fogarty rips shoulder ligaments in 3rd XI defeat
The 3s were facing Brentwood 4s for the second time this season in their last game before the Xmas break with Brentwood being their only win so far.
Playing at home this time, skipper Azhar Khan was confident 3 points could be bagged again but preparations for the game were disturbed with a last minute drop out from Hussein Janmo and several others turning up late. Harrow started the game well, playing with confidence on the ball but Brentwood, who had some new faces in their ranks, quickly started upping the pressure. Harrow found it difficult to keep possession due to a high number of incomplete passes and a lack of movement off the ball. Opportunities were still created from good football but by half-time the players were getting tired and it was still 0-0.
Going against the slope and playing into the wind meant a tougher second half but the home side quickly broke the deadlock with goal from some scrappy play in the 6 yard box punished by the excitable Benjy Sewell. The relief was short lived when Brentwood soon equalised and then scored a second to make it 2-1. The OH players were giving it their all but the fitness wasn't there to deal with the lack of possession or to create space when attacking.
The Essex boys made it 3-1 to finish the game off by dribbling past four Harrovians in the box and comfortably slotting past Alex Elwell, having done a great job standing in for the absent Chaz McHardy. Man of the match goes to Harry Turner who was brilliant at centre back and played a commanding role for 90 mins. Despite another loss for the 3s, the mood is robustly positive.
