Fifth clean sheet earns 1st XI point at Repton

17 Jan 2016

The OHAFC 1st XI began 2016 in the same manner they finished 2015: a hard-earned clean sheet on a tricky pitch in a difficult away fixture. But this time the Blues could not find the goal they needed to earn all three points and had to be content with a 0-0 draw away to promotion rivals Repton.

Chances were few and far between on the heavy, slippery pitch at Merchant Taylor's School with neither goalkeeper tested for long spells of the game.

Harry Hoffen spurned Harrow's best chance midway through the first half and Fraser Mcguiness made one excellent save soon after but the 0-0 scoreline was a fair reflection of the ninety minutes.

The draw maintains Harrow's lead at the top of Division One with a trip to second-placed Bradfield due up next week.
