Depleted 1s thumped by Bradfieldians
A depleted OHAFC 1st XI succumbed to a slick Old Bradfieldians side on the Hill on Saturday afternoon, recording another disappointing heavy defeat on their return to action following the month-long COVID-enforced layoff.
A decent opening to this Premier Division fixture was spoilt when the hosts conceded twice in the space of ten minutes, both goals eminently avoidable. But some fine play from winger Chris Abdo saw him steal possession in the final third and cross for Pablo Hutchinson to tap in just before the half-hour to halve the deficit.
Disappointingly, the visitors, who dominated possession with some slick midfield play, scored either side of the break to kill the match as a contest and the final half-hour became a procession against a wilting OHAFC. Bradfieldians scored twice more late on to give the scoreline a rather one-sided look and condemn the Blues to a seventh League defeat of the season.
The team must regroup quickly ahead of next weekend’s clash with the Old Brentwoods.
