Defensive errors see 1s slip to Radley defeat
A couple of defensive errors and some wayward finishing cost the OHAFC 1st XI dearly as they fell to a disappointing 2-1 defeat away to the Old Radleians in Twickenham on Saturday.
Goalkeeper Emre Sert fired a clearance into an opponent that saw the ball rebound into the empty Harrow net to gift the hosts the lead, but Radley then returned the compliment when one of their centre-halves deflected in a Dan Firoozan cross to level the scores prior to the break.
Despite dominating the second half for long spells, the Blues could not find a way through the Radley rearguard and were made to pay late on when a hopeful punt forwards saw the Harrow defence hesitate, allowing a forward to steal in and poke home for a somewhat undeserved winner.
The defeat leaves the Blues sixth in the Division One standings, seven points behind leaders the Old Alleynians.
Saturday's team lineup is now available in the results section with a match report due in shortly.
