Brilliant goals earn tireless 2s an unlikely point
Two brilliant goals either side of the break, allied to some stout defending and excellent organisation, allowed the OHAFC 2nd XI to come away from Charterhouse with a hugely creditable 2-2 draw on Saturday afternoon.
Despite a problematic build-up that saw the side forced to borrow a strip to play in, Geoff Taunton-Collins' men set about their task with gusto, weathering an early storm before going close to opening the scoring from a Max Curry header.
Minutes later the Blues did lead, David Lederman producing a trademark free-kick that curled over the wall and in at the near post.
The hosts hit back with a breakaway goal shortly before the half ended and enjoyed much more possession in the second half, but Harrow defended excellently to limit their chances.
Cyprian Owen-Edmunds then scored a stunning solo goal to restore the visitors' lead, carrying the ball across the box before turning to chip the keeper back into the far corner.
The lead didn't last long however, a failed clearance allowing a simple finish for a Carthusian forward.
Nevertheless, it was an excellent result for the OHAFC and great credit must go to the eleven players who worked their socks off for the ninety minutes.
