3s slump to embarrassing Alleynians loss
The OHAFC 3rd XI slumped to an embarrassing defeat in south London on Saturday afternoon, becoming only the second Harrow side to concede ten goals in a competitive fixture over the past decade.
A mixture of some excellent play by the hosts, who remain unbeaten this season, and some suspect Harrow defending saw the Alleynians race into a 4-0 lead with less than twenty minutes played. A superb goal from Ed Massey, his first for the club, reduced the arrears, but the result was put beyond doubt with two more for the home side before the break.
Alleynians heaped further misery on the Blues in the second half, scoring twice more to make it 8-1 before a late penalty from Harry Bick provided a brief respite. But two goals in the final minute ensured a miserable end to a dreadful afternoon.
The result leaves the 3s in fifth in Division Four, now adrift of the top three sides, all of whom enjoy 100% records so far.
Saturday's team lineup and a mercifully brief match report are now available in the results section here.
