3s rue missed chances in Stoics stalemate
The OHAFC 3rd XI produced another encouraging performance on the Harrow School astroturf but were eventually forced to settle for a point against the Old Stoics in an entertaining 1-1 draw.
Despite creating the majority of the chances, the spoils were shared as a defensive mix-up between keeper Tom Mitchell and centre-half Theo Gordon allowed the visitors to take the lead after a quarter of an hour.
The Blues regained their composure and were the better side for much of the remainder of the game, but they had to wait until after the hour mark to secure the draw thanks to a fine finish from debutant James Cleverly, who fired home with an excellent low shot.
The draw keeps the OHAFC in sixth in the Division Four table, two points behind the Stoics. The side have one final game prior to the Christmas break, the visit of the Old Shirburnians to the Hill next weekend.
