3s go top with stunning win over the leaders
The OHAFC 3rd XI produced a magnificent display to thrash previous Division Five South leaders the Old Amplefordians 4-1 on Saturday, in the process replacing their vanquished opponents at the top of table.
Nick Kapoor's men have now won five games in a row since their opening day defeat at the hands of the Old Malvernians. With comprehensive wins over both the Amplefordians and Sennockians in recent weeks, the Blues must now be considered favourites to win the division and earn a two-legged play-off for the chance to earn promotion to Division Four.
Saturday's win came courtesy of two goals in each half: Alex Smith and Harry Bick struck before the break, Olly Roberts added a third on the hour mark before Smith completed the rout ten minutes later.
The top of the table is still extremely tight with Harrow and Ampleforth separated only by goals scored, the two sides both on fifteen points and a plus seven goal difference. Shirburnians remain third, three points behind.
The team now enjoy a well-earned break before their next League fixture.
Saturday's team lineup is now available in the results section with a match report due shortly.
