3s crash out of Cup on penalties - again
For the second time this season, the OHAFC 3rd XI suffered the cruel fate of losing on penalties after they exited the David Woolcott Trophy following a 1-1 draw against the Old Shirburnians on the astroturf at Hampton.
The two sides battled fiercely throughout normal time and couldn't be separated, Callum Barrett's effort just after the hour mark taking the tie into extra-time after Shirburnians, who lead Division Five South, took advantage of some wayward Harrow finishing.
Penalties loomed and, having already lost in a shootout to the Old Westminsters in the Junior League Cup, it was natural that there were some nerves among the Harrovian ranks.
Sadly, Connor Barrett saw his effort from twelve yards saved and Joss Awdry skied his, meaning the Shirburnians progressed to a semi-final away to Alleynians 2s in three weeks' time.
It was cruel luck once more for Blues, who must now raise themselves for the final three League games of the season and the challenge of earning a second consecutive promotion.
