3s coast through to 2nd round of the DW Trophy
The OHAFC 3rd XI enjoyed a straightforward 4-2 win over Division Five side the Old Kingstonians in the first round of the David Woolcott Trophy on Saturday to set up a meeting with the Old Haberdashers in round two.
Saturday's win saw the hosts score all four of their goals before the break, with Ned Callander, Murray Barr and Alex Smith (2) getting their names on the scoresheet - Barr's goal was his first for the OHAFC.
Despite dominating for long spells against a Kingstonian side playing their first ever season of Arthurian League football, the Blues somehow failed to find the net in the second half, indeed a couple of efforts from the visitors giving the final scoreline a more even look that perhaps the game deserved.
The Blues have some much stiffer tests to follow however, with Saturday's first ever home meeting with the Old Columbans a crunch game at the top of Division Four first up.
