3rd XI comeback just fails to prevent Cup exit
15 Dec 2014
A stirring comeback from the OHAFC 3rd XI saw them come from 4-1 down to trail 4-3 against Tonbridge's second string in the first round of the Junior League Cup on Saturday but sadly a late penalty shout fell on deaf ears and it was the visitors who held on to go through.
It was cruel luck for the team - who have yet to progress past the opening round of the competition - but defensive errors helped contribute to the early deficit and Harry Turner's men weren't helped by some unfortunate refereeing decisions that saw an early equaliser ruled out and the late appeal for a penalty denied, despite vocal encouragement from the crowd.
