2s' winning run ends in ill-tempered finale
The OHAFC 2nd Xi finally lost their six-game winning run on Saturday afternoon courtesy of an 85th minute conceded at home to the Old Citizens on the Hill.
A hotly-contested game between two of the top sides in the division saw the hosts miss two golden opportunities to take the lead inside the first half, both falling to Andres Hutchinson.
But Citizens improved after the break and as the clock ticked towards the 90-minute mark, it appeared as though both sides would have to be content with a point each.
That was before an angry exchange ten minutes from time that saw Max Curry sin-binned, the Blues reduced to ten men for practically the remainder of the game. Citizens took full advantage, winning a penalty that was subsequently missed, before scoring the vital goal moments later courtesy of a through-ball that split the Harrow centre-backs.
It was tough luck on the OHAFC but they must pick themselves up quickly ahead of this weekend's trip to face the Chigwellians 2s.
