2s thump Forest in best display of the season yet

21 Nov 2017

The OHAFC 2nd XI produced their most complete performance of the season on Saturday to thump Forest's second string 5-1 on the Hill. Despite the visitors missing a number of players due to a wedding, the Blues still had to be on their mettle to ensure a second win of the season.

A competitive first half turned Harrow's way when Lederman fed Jack Alhadeff through the middle to put the hosts 1-0 up. An extraordinary own goal from the corner of the Forest penalty area heaped further misery on the visitors before Mike Okoigun extended the lead further just before the break, exchanging passes with Alhadeff inside the box and firing home at the near post.

Forest rallied after the break and Kyri Pittalis made a couple of outstanding saves to maintain the lead, but he was powerless to prevent a thumping effort fly in at his near post.

As the second half wore on, Harrow grew stronger and the front two of Soyinka and Okoigun began to terrorise the Forest defence. They both scored late goals to ensure a comfortable win that sees the side climb to seventh in the Division Two table.
