2s see off Westminsters to progress in JLC
Late goals from Will Payne and Jack Orr-Ewing helped the OHAFC 2nd XI finally overcome their Westminster counterparts 4-2 in the first round of the Junior League Cup on Saturday.
The home side led twice, taking the lead from a Max Curry tap-in and restoring their advantage from an Andres Hutchinson penalty after the youngster had been tripped inside the box.
After Westminster enjoyed the better of the second half and equalised with a well-taken goal, it was only thanks to a late surge that the hosts pulled through, deservedly winning the tie as the visitors tired in the closing stages.
The 2s will travel to either Merchant Taylors or Epsom in round two, with their tie not taking place for another fortnight.
