2s scrape through on pens in JLC Round Two
The OHAFC 2nd XI scraped into the quarter-finals of the Junior League Cup on Saturday with a penalty shootout win over Lancing 2s following a scrappy 1-1 draw in normal time.
In windy conditions on the Hill, the visitors defended for long spells before taking the lead on the hour mark courtesy of a superb 30-yard striker from their skipper, who fired home into the top corner past a stranded Charlie Walsh. But the home side battled back valiantly and, having been denied what appeared a cast-iron penalty, forced the shootout when Alexi Pittalis twisted to flick a header into the far corner from an Ollie Curry corner.
The shootout was one-sided as Lancing missed three of their first four attempts, Harrow scoring all of theirs to earn a 4-1 win. The draw for the next round is yet to be made.
