2s rally to close in on promotion
A second half fightback in tricky conditions in Barn Elms saw the OHAFC 2s clinch a 3-1 victory over the Old Eastbournians and in the process move within four points of promotion.
Despite dominating a first half in which they struck the woodwork four times, the Blues trailed at the break as Eastbourne found the net from one of their few attacks.
But the visitors were far more clinical in a more even second half, Jack Alhadeff slotting in from close range, skipper Geoff Taunton-Collins rising to thump in a header and David Lederman converting a penalty following good work from Max Curry.
The side can now clinch promotion with a win next week although if either Chigwell 2s or Epsomians win they will have to wait at least another week to celebrate.
