2nd XI preserve status with scrappy win
2 Mar 2016
The OHAFC 2nd XI ensured they will be playing Division Three football next season with a vital, if scrappy, 2-1 win at Old Eastbournians on Saturday.
Conditions in Barn Elms were poor with a strong wind and small, uneven pitch making life difficult for both sets of players. Thankfully the visitors possessed the superior quality and goals from Hugo Trower and Alex Breeden were enough to earn Geoff Taunton-Collins' men their fifth win of the season.
Despite the Salopians securing a surprising win against former leaders Sennockians, the Blues are safe from relegation with two games remaining.
The match stats plus a splendid report from Edmund Massey are now available in the Results section here.
