1st XI hold on to record vital win over Cholms

27 Jan 2015

The OHAFC 1st XI collected their first points of 2015 on Saturday when they held on to a 2-1 lead for an hour to defeat fellow strugglers the Old Cholmeleians on the Hill.

The hosts started superbly and earned a 2-0 lead midway through the first half thanks to a David Lederman penalty, following a trip on Johan Harder, and an excellent finish from Alex Gilbert.

Cholms hit back from a free-kick shortly afterwards but despite the remainder of the match being a far more even affair, Harrow held their shape well to restrict their opponents to a few half chances.

The win ensures Harrow stay in touch with the teams around them near the foot of the table and provided further evidence that with good availability and preparation the side is capable of earning decent results.
