1st XI go top with vital win over Brentwood

24 Oct 2015

The OHAFC 1st XI went top of Division One on Saturday with a hard-fought 2-1 win over previous leaders Brentwood on the Hill.

The Blues started the game strongly and deservedly led 2-0 at the break thanks to Harry Hoffen charging down a goalkeeper clearance and Jack Hill producing a superb strike to round off a fine team move.

Although the second half remained goalless for over half an hour, the visitors gradually worked their way back into the encounter and Fraser McGuiness produced a fine save to keep the two-goal lead intact.

Brentwood did pull one back from a corner with five minutes remaining but the hosts clung on, somewhat desperately, to ensure they entertain Radley next week as Division One leaders.
