1st XI ease to win over Wellington

31 Jan 2016

The OHAFC 1st XI produced a commanding display on Saturday to comfortably see off the challenge of fourth-placed Wellington and move eight points clear at the top of Division One in the process.

Despite missing a hatful of chances in a dominant first half display, including a rare failure from the penalty spot from David Lederman, the Blues went in a goal to the good at the break thanks to Fred Milln's fine header from Ed Poulter's long throw.

The second half performance tailed off somewhat but with Wellington offering minimal threat going forwards, Alex Breeden's close-range finish from another long throw secured the points.
