1st XI Dunn hopes ended by strong Salopian side
The hopes of Dunn Cup glory for the OHAFC 1st XI ended for another season on Saturday when the side lost 2-1 to the Old Salopians on Harrow Hill.
Playing with a strong wind behind them in the first half the visitors took the lead with a superb shot from the corner of the box following a slight error from Yunus Sert.
The hosts battled their way into the contest without creating any clear-cut chances but a second Salopian goal five minutes before the break following a poor clearance from goalkeeper Fraser McGuiness left the hosts with an uphill task.
An even second half saw both sides struggle to create many chances but a late strike from Alex Gilbert gave the hosts a glimmer of hope. Sadly time ran out and the Salopians held on for a 2-1 win.
