1s return to Premier League with fine win
The OHAFC 1st XI returned to life in the Arthurian League Premier Division with a highly encouraging 4-3 win at home to the Old Bradfieldians on Saturday.
In a game played in blistering sunshine on the rock hard Phil pitches, the hosts earned a 3-1 lead in the first half in which they consistently hit their opponents on the counter-attack. James Breeden scored the first two goals to open his account for the season, before George Gould added an excellent third with a lob five minutes before the break.
The second half saw momentum swing constantly but the Blues sealed the win courtesy of a Will Bamford goal with a quarter of an hour remaining. Despite Bradfield pulling a couple of goals back, the Blues held on to record an opening day win in the Premier Division for the first time since 2012.
