1s held by Salopians in dreary encounter
The OHAFC 1st XI were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw by the Old Salopians on Saturday afternoon in a game lacking much quality for long periods.
The hosts came close to taking the lead through a Kyle Barrett header and Dan Firoozan shot before they were gifted an even better opportunity from the spot: Alex Gilbert was bundled over and George Gould converted to put Harrow 1-0 up.
But the second half saw the visitors press the Blues back inside their half for long spells and an equaliser duly arrived on the hour mark, a ball through the middle of the Harrow back four catching out Kyle Barrett who had just gone to ground for a challenge. The forward ran through to fire past Fraser McGuinness and level the scores.
The hosts had a couple of decent chances to secure the win, Doug Morrison firing wide of an empty goal from outside the box, but in truth this was a game best forgotten, with neither side at their best.
The point leaves the OHAFC in sixth place in the Premier Division ahead of the visit of KCS Wimbledon next weekend.
