1s exit Dunn after extra-time defeat to KCS
The OHAFC 1st XI suffered a frustrating extra-time defeat to the KCS Wimbledon Old Boys in the second round of the Arthur Dunn Cup on Saturday morning. Despite dominating the first half hour of the game, the Blues missed several chances to take the lead, hitting the post and the crossbar in the process. They paid for their profligacy when the visitors established a two-goal lead courtesy of a lobbed finish and a free-kick.
But the hosts fought back valiantly, enjoying some good fortune along the way, as a James Breeden penalty and a cross from Harry Bick that ended up in the back of the Wimbledon net drew the sides level and meant extra-time.
The first period saw little by way of goalmouth action, but straight from kick-off for the second half, Wimbledon pumped the ball forwards and an excellent near-post finish from just inside the box ensured the visitors' progress into the quarter-finals.
Saturday's team lineup and match report is now available in the results section here, with match photos available shortly.
The 1s now head into their Christmas break, with the next set of fixtures in the new year due to be announced imminently.
