For the second week running costly defensive errors denied the OHAFC 3rd XI any chance of some valuable League points as they eventually capitulated to lose 5-1 to Westminsters' second string on the frozen Harrow School astroturf.

In contrast to last week's 7-0 mauling at the hands of the Rugbeians, the Blues actually started the game the better side and took the lead through leading scorer Oli Walker, who comfortably beat the 'keeper having been played through by Ollie Curry.

Some casual play from centre half Chuka Ilogu midway inside his own half gifted the visitors, playing in their famous bright pink shirts, an equaliser and minutes later a superb volley from twenty-five yards out sailed over substitute 'keeper Harry Bick into the back of the Harrow net.

Bick was forced to donn the gloves following a nasty collision between starting 'keeper Jon Sharples and a Westminster forward that saw the Harrow man knocked out for five minutes and eventually taken to hospital in an ambulance.

Earlier, Westminster had come closest to breaking the deadlock after an enterprising start when a long range effort beat Sharples but clipped the top of the bar.

Harrow's goal came from their first clear chance of the game but they were unfortunate to find themselves behind at the break courtesy of a mistake and the wonderful volley.

There was still plenty to work on going into the second half however with Harrow's defending uncertain and a distinct lack of cohesion going forwards - perhaps understandable given this was the first time the Harrow front six had ever played together.

Disappointingly, much of the second half was a scrappy affair with neither side able to compose telling passages of play in attack. As a result both goalkeepers remained relatively untested as the game entered its final twenty minutes.

For Harrow, despite fielding a number of players capable of playing at a higher level, the lack of a threat going forwards was a conundrum they appeared incapable of solving. Wide men Dalzell and Taunton-Collins were starved of possession as too often a simple pass wide was eschewed in favour of a punt forwards or some unnecessary touches in the centre of the pitch. The mercurial Curry was unable to provide a telling final ball and although main striker Oli Walker toiled selflessly up front, he was usually surrounded by two or three defenders and forced into taking shots from wide areas or play the ball backwards.

Nevertheless with just a single goal separating the sides the result was in the balance as the final fifteen minutes hoved into view.

Sadly, it was the visitors who proved the more decisive, twice in the space of three minutes taking advantage of some tired play in the Harrow midfield to cut through the back four and finish past an exposed Bick.

OHAFC debutant Charlie Robson, who had enjoyed a decent forty minutes at left-back, was forced off with a knee injury with ten minutes remaining.

Shortly afterwards a couple of poor challenges left the Westminster players frustrated, one of the visitors squaring up to diminutive Hussain Janmo right under the nose of the referee. Fortunately the resulting free-kick was curled wide of the far post.

There was still time for a fifth, this time from the spot after the Harrow back four had again been left badly exposed. A mazy run inside the box saw Kyle Barrett drawn into a challenge and despite some half-hearted protests referee Temi Shabi pointed to the spot. The kick was tucked into the side of the net to cap the late trio of goals that secured three points for the visitors.

Following the game the Harrow side discussed the two recent heavy defeats that have come as something of a surprise following two superb 4-1 wins in their previous pair of matches. The players were urged to keep fighting until the end in every game.

*Later on Saturday evening it was confirmed that Jon Sharples had been discharged from hospital having safely undergone the concussion tests. The club wish Jon well and hope to see him in action again soon.
